Rocky Mountain News: RIP
When I decided I wanted to be a journalist a long time ago I had this romantic vision in my mind that I would be running around some big glamorous city working for a newspaper that had a history of esteemed writers and Pulitzer Prize winners. I would get sent around the world to interview inspiring people and be able to express and share those experiences with my audience.
Now all I see is this dream fading away.
I am not worried that I won't find a job. There will always be a need for writers. There are always stories to be told and unheard voices to be given a medium to be heard. I'm just sad that my romantic dream of seeing my name printed on the grey sheets of news print are slowly slipping away.
