but I feel like punching back
I've been quite absent from blogging lately.
Reason(s):
- Apartment hunting
- Job hunting
- stress
- a crappy documentary class
- stress
- My mom came to visit (this was a good thing)
- and STRESS
I can't help but notice the eerie feeling around campus. For some reason there is an extra feeling of hostility/negative energy. Everyones' quarter seems to be going about the same: shitty. If I'm not hearing complaints about how much work there is to get done, its bad teachers and a serious lack of productivity.
Maybe its the weather.
One thing about Seattle weather that drives me crazy is the unpredictability. One day it's clear skies and 70's the next its pouring rain and low to mid 40's... and this definitely effects peoples' moods.
I do not approve of Seattle weather on weeks like this. Anyway, my horoscope from the Weekly said this:
Virgo (Aug. 23–Sept. 22)
Getting socked in the face by an airbag really hurts, I've heard. But it's still better than slamming your nose against (or through) the windshield. Instead of taking affront at the recent hurt or indignity you've suffered, try to take a breath and a moment to see what's behind it. Odds are the intentions were good—and designed to keep you from greater harm and suffering. It's hard to be grateful about getting punched in the mouth, but that might be what's called for this week. See if you can muster a graceful thank-you. If you can't manage that, at least keep yourself from punching back.
So this week I'm trying to remember to breathe because it really does feel like I've been socked in the face and punching back sounds SO good right now.
Or maybe just a nice six pack will help with the pressure.
