Being 25 is really hard.

I'm being dramatic, I know.

Right now I work with a few teenagers. Some of them are seniors in high school about to embark on the next stages of becoming a young adult. They are facing college and moving away from home for the first time. For many of them this is their first job... I listen to them talking to each other about boy drama, and parent drama, and school drama, and girl drama, and teacher drama, and all of the above and in between drama...

Although I am in a position to lead and manage these teenagers, some days I sort of just want to join in on the whining.

Lately, I've been feeling just as dramatic. I've said it before and I'll say it again: twenty-something is a very strange age to be. Most days it feels like I'm not too far from eighteen and just graduating from high school (in other words, I'm completely clueless.) and other days I'm making giant life decisions like moving to another state for a career or investing money into a Roth IRA for my eventual retirement...

Twenty five has so far been my favorite age to be. Feeling a little less stupid and a little less insecure than I did at twenty one is a pretty good feeling but today I'm joining my fellow teen aged co-workers in saying:

WTF, being 25 is really hard!
